Pioneer FM Partners With Youth Homelessness Charity LandAid
Pioneer FM is proud to partner with LandAid, a leading UK charity working to end youth homelessness.
LandAid brings together businesses across the property and facilities management sector to fund and create safe accommodation for young people in need. Its goal is to deliver 1,000 new homes for vulnerable young people across the UK.
As part of our wider commitment to ethical and sustainable facilities management, we actively support initiatives that create real social impact.
Why This Partnership Matters
This cause is deeply personal to Pioneer FM CEO, Mary-Jane Pettit.
Having experienced homelessness herself after fleeing domestic abuse with her young sons, MJ understands first-hand how quickly circumstances can change and how difficult it can be to rebuild without support.
“Becoming homeless is one of the worst things that can happen to a person. You become incredibly vulnerable, and many people can’t find a way out of that situation on their own.”
Youth Homelessness in the UK
Youth homelessness continues to rise across the UK, with increasing demand for support services and accommodation.
Many young people face:
- Lack of stable housing
- Limited support networks
- Financial and social vulnerability
Charities like LandAid play a vital role in providing safe spaces and long-term solutions.
LandAid’s Impact
LandAid supports charities across the UK by funding projects that create homes and support services for young people.
Recent initiatives include:
- Emergency funding for essential living costs
- Creating safe, socially distanced accommodation spaces
- Funding facilities such as kitchens, showers, and support centres
- Providing digital access, including Wi-Fi for vulnerable individuals
The organisation also runs a pro bono programme, connecting businesses with charities to provide skills and expertise.
Pioneer FM’s Commitment
Pioneer FM has already begun supporting LandAid through financial contributions and is committed to doing more.
Over the next 12 months, the Pioneer FM team will:
- Take part in fundraising activities
- Provide pro bono support using industry expertise
- Raise awareness of youth homelessness across the sector
We support defence, government, and high-security sites as part of our sustainable facilities management services across the UK. Our approach is also guided by our commitment to responsible business practices, including our journey as a certified B Corp.
This commitment aligns with our approach as a Real Living Wage employer and our wider focus on delivering social value across every contract.
Working Together to Create Change
LandAid CEO Paul Morrish welcomed the partnership:
“We are delighted to be working with Pioneer FM, helping us fundraise and offering skills and talents on a pro bono basis to make a difference for the thousands of young people who don’t have a home.”
Looking Ahead
This partnership marks the beginning of a long-term commitment to supporting young people facing homelessness.
Pioneer FM will be announcing upcoming fundraising initiatives and ways to get involved over the coming months.
